Terms and Conditions

  • All Mermaids-Rock diving equipment can be purchased online. Orders can also be made by telephone, via e-mail, fax or by post.
  • Online prices are quoted in U.S Dollars.
  • We are not responsible for “Tax & Duty” in the country of import.
  • We accept most credit or debit cards, through Paypal services or direct Bank transfers.
  • Please Note – We no longer accept cheques as a payment method.
  • Orders are taken once the payment has been confirmed and we aim to dispatch all orders as soon as the payment has cleared.
  • Orders placed online from Monday to Friday, before 2pm, will be dispatched, the ‘Same Day’.
  • Online orders placed after 2pm, from Monday to Friday, will be shipped the next day in the morning.
  • Online orders placed on Saturdays before 12am will be shipped the same day.
  • Online orders placed on Saturdays after 12am will be shipped Monday morning.
  • Due to the automation of some sections of our web shop, a product may become unavailable before an online order is placed but the order may still be confirmed. In this case, the customer will be contacted and the order will be fully refunded during the next working day.

GUARANTEE

  • All Mermaids-Rock products are guaranteed for a period of 30 days, from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects or failure.
  • The guarantee does not extend to any damage caused by normal or misuse, neglect or accidental damage. In addition, this guarantee will become invalid if the goods have been subjected to alteration or modification, from their original design.
  • Mermaids-Rock recommends that you DO NOT attempt to undertake a repair to any Mermaids-Rock equipment, unless you are suitably qualified and competent to do so. Please note – A repair attempt made by an unqualified person will void the warranty on any Mermaids-Rock equipment. Please contact us first, if you need assistance with any Mermaids-Rock purchase.

CLAIMS

  • In the unlikely event that goods are ‘lost in transit’, this must be reported to us by e-mail or telephone as soon as possible. In the unlikely event that goods are received ‘damaged in transit’, this must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery, by e-mail or telephone and the goods/packaging must be retained for inspection.
  • For orders delivered outside of the South East Asia, we aim to deliver all orders within 5 working days, from the date of dispatch but please allow up to 7 working days (from the date of dispatch) as this will depend on your location within your particular country.
  • For unwanted products or warranty claims, please see our ‘Refunds and Returns’ section.
  • Deliveries are attempted Three Times without any extra charge
  • In case the courier is unable to complete delivery of a package, a non-delivery notice will be left at the consignee’s address stating that delivery has been attempted. Thereafter, a second and, if necessary, a third attempt to deliver the package will be made without additional charge.

FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPTS:

  • Most of the courier services that deliver our items make more than one attempt to deliver a package. If nobody is available to accept the delivery after multiple attempts, the express courier will return the parcel to us.
  • For all the returned packages with failure delivery, i.e., multiple delivery attempts, insufficient address information, or refusal, we are not responsible for the return shipping costs.
  • The buyer is responsible for the costs implied in the return shipping of the original item and also of postage fees and costs, for the item shipped again a second time.

RETURN POLICY:

  • You can return any faulty item within 7 days of purchase with receipt.
  • If the return is caused by receiving wrong item, we will be fully responsible for the mistake, the return shipping will be reimbursed.
  • All goods will be inspected on return.
  • The goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse, so make sure it’s packed up properly and can’t get damaged on the way.
  • We are not responsible for any items that are returned to us by mistake.
  • Make sure you use a postal service that insures you for the value of the items you are returning or obtain proof of posting.

REFUNDS

  • Refunds will only be considered for those customers that have purchased products directly from Mermaids-Rock. In addition, we can only accept goods back for refund consideration, that are complete, unused and in ‘as new’ condition (i.e. re-saleable). Goods must be returned to their original packaging, complete with any accessories (as received) and returned at the customer’s expense, along with a valid purchase receipt.
  • Parcels that are returned to us must have the mention “Return of Goods to Sender” and “Country of Manufacture: Indonesia”.
  • Cash refunds strictly apply to cash purchases only and the original till receipt must also be supplied, as proof of purchase.
  • We do not offer a refunds for “ change of mind”, however we do offer an exchange/store credit. The buyer is responsible for the return shipping of the original item and also of postage fees for the exchange item.
  • Where goods are purchased by credit or debit card, refunds will only be made back onto the card account used for the original transaction. A copy of the customer’s credit or debit card receipt and purchase receipt must also be supplied.

Limitation of Liability:

Mermaids-Rock, shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site or the performance of the products, even if Mermaids-Rock Supply has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the limitation of exclusion of liability or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
